I am a theoretical ecologist focused on how plant and animal populations and communities respond to global change including infectious disease emergence, invasive species introductions, climate warming and habitat fragmentation. Wherever possible, I integrate mechanistic theory and data with the goal of applying theory-based insight to real-world problems.
