Rivers receives Excellence in Teaching Award

Trevor Rivers has been selected as the 2023 recipient of the Bob and Kathie Taylor Excellence in Teaching Award.
“It was certainly a surprise and I’m honored to receive it,” said Rivers, who is an Assistant Teaching Professor with the Ecology and Evolutionary Biology Department. 
The selection by a committee of peers recognizes the recipient’s contribution to the University of Kansas and to students through the recipient’s outstanding teaching. The award comes with a one-time stipend of $4,000. 
Rivers and other recipients of this year’s teaching awards will be recognized at the University Teaching Award celebration to be held on the Lawrence campus later this fall.
