Research

Environmental change like climate stress, urbanization, and agricultural adaptation are impacting water resources at an increasing rate and spatial scale. My research seeks to understand how environmental change, in Kansas and more broadly, affects water quality, quantity, and freshwater ecosystem health. I investigate these questions using field and lab-based approaches, including environmental sensor networks, experiments, and data synthesis. My research provides new knowledge about how water resources are changing, and can help identify strategies to promote sustainable and resilient ecosystems.
