Join us at Free State Brewing Company for Science on Tap with Dr. Paulyn Cartwright, Baumgartner Professor of Biology.

Dr. Cartwright will discuss her research on the freshwater jellyfish Craspedacusta sowerbii, which has invaded freshwater lakes and rivers all over the world. Cartwright and her students have been investigating the environmental and genetic cues underlying the transitions of the different life cycle stages in this jellyfish in an effort to better predict the impact of this jellyfish on freshwater ecosystems in a changing climate.

This free presentation/Q&A is open to the public and will be held in the beer hall area at Free State Brewing Company. Please note that seating is limited, so we encourage you to  arrive early.

The KU Biodiversity Institute is committed to making our events accessible to everyone. If you require an accommodation or  service to participate, contact biodiversity@ku.edu or  785-864-2344 at least five days before the event.
