Academics

We offer a range of popular academic programs for students at both undergraduate and graduate levels. Undergraduates can earn a Bachelors degree via a partnership with the KU Undergraduate Biology Program. Our graduate program provides advanced training and mentorship to masters and PhD students. Students interested in a museum career can earn a certificate through a partnership with KU Museum Studies.

Undergraduate Biology

Ecology and Evolutionary Biology Graduate Program

EEB at KU is one of the nation's top graduate programs. We offer Master of Arts (M. A.) and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degrees.

Museum Studies Certificate

Pair your knowledge of biology with hands-on professional skills for a museum career! EEB students can earn a graduate certificate in museum studies while pursuing their degrees. This 15-credit-hour certificate includes two core courses on museum theory and foundations, one professional skills course (such as collection management), a conceptual domain course from your EEB classes, and a 250-hour internship. Dissertation research or collections-based curatorial assistantships or research assistantships can be substituted for the internship.
