Short Receives UCR Grant Award

Monday, October 15, 2012

Congratulations to Dr. Andrew Short who has been selected to receive a University of Costa Rica/KU Collaboration grant.  Dr. Short's submission, entitled, “Effect of land use on aquatic insect communities in Tapanti National Park, Costa Rica” was selected for an award of $5000 of KU funding.  Dr. Short will work as Co-Principle Investigator with Professor Monika Springer, from the UCR Escuela de Biologia. KU and the University of Costa Rica have the oldest continuing exchange agreement in the Western Hemisphere and the selection committee was pleased to continue that relationship with this recent initiative.
