Jacob Carter awarded postdoctoral fellowship through the Oak Ridge Institute for Science and Education

Jacob Carter, mentored by Joy Ward, was awarded a postdoctoral fellowship through the Oak Ridge Institute for Science and Education. He will be working for the Environmental Protection Agency's Office of Solid Waste and Emergency Response as a climate change policy consultant and research assistant.

The Oak Ridge Institute for Science and Education (ORISE) is a U.S. Department of Energy institute focusing on scientific initiatives to research health risks from occupational hazards, assess environmental cleanup, respond to radiation medical emergencies, support national security and emergency preparedness, and educate the next generation of scientists.
