Engel's research listed in Top 100 Discoveries for 2012

The current issue (January-February 2013) of Discover Magazine lists the top 100 discoveries of 2012. A paper co-authored by Michael Engel, Professor, Ecology and Evolutionary Biology, reports on the discovery of fossil fleas from the Mesozoic and is featured as one of those top 100.  The title of the Discovery magazine article is “Jurassic Fleas Found” by Eric A. Powell. The original research was published in Nature (Diying Huang, Michael S. Engel, Chenyang Cai, Hao Wu, and André Nel. 2012. "Diverse transitional giant fleas from the Mesozoic era of China." Nature 483: 201 – 204).
