Carla Harper awarded Isabel Cookson Award at the Botanical Society meeting

Congratulations to Carla J. Harper, who received the Isabel Cookson Award at the Botanical Society of America meeting in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada July 25-29.  The Cookson award is given to the student who delivers the best contributed paper in paleobotany or palynology at the annual meeting. The title of Carla’s talk was “Biomarkers in paleomycology – A case study using fungus-infected Permian woods from Antarctica”.  Others authors are: Allison Olcott Marshall, Craig P. Marshall, Edith L. Taylor, Michael Krings and Thomas N. Taylor.
