Friday, September 22, 2017

Congratulations to Alex Erwin, a Ph.D. student in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology was awarded a STEMMy Student Achiever Award by WiSTEMM.  WiSTEMM is a Kansas City initiative that aims to put a spotlight on women leaders in the Kansas City area working in the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering, Math and Medicine.  This award is awarded annually to a student in Kansas and Missouri that demonstrates significant achievement as well as being a leader in the Kansas City STEMM community.  Her award is a real honor and recognizes all the work she has done, including the Jayhawks Breaking Barriers Initiative and the KU Search Symposium.
